It stikes me is that a heck of a lot of people are fearful that any intimacy will lead to hurt or painful feelings, and are so afraid of the possibility of pain that they'd rather forego joys of intimacy. Its actually rather sad when you see (read) it happening to folks who ought to be living /more/ in the moment. =R=
