Cruel kindness... it's that "shoot a sick horse, but watch your grandma
suffer" mentality we have, isn't it.
We try to be kind, gentle. But with that kindness, that unwillingness to do
what so obviously needs doing, we often hurt someone more than if we'd
simply put them out of their misery. We prolong our misery. We prolong
theirs.
Out of kindness.
It seems cruel. It isn't, but it sure seems that way sometimes.
Then again, maybe it is cruel...
Ah shit, huh.
Sometimes nice ain't so nice.
Because which is more cruel: False hope, or real loss?
